Brothers United Incorporated is a NASTAD nationally recognized community based organization, which provides HIV/STD awareness, education, and prevention services to our community members. The mission of Brothers United Inc. is to enhance the health and wellness of our community, which includes sexual, gender, and racial minorities and the people who live and work in our neighborhoods. Our aim is to be the leader in public and sexual health programs and initiatives for multicultural communities in the Midwest.
With your assistance, Brothers United continues to deliver supportive, preventive, and mental health services, which helps to combat stigma, discrimination, and oppression among those who are affected by and living with HIV. Our services are free of charge. As a 501 (c) (3) charitable organization, we rely upon public and private support from individuals, corporations, foundations, and government agencies to continue to meet the needs of our community.
Brothers United is the largest African-American AIDS service organization (ASO) in the state of Indiana. We provide services to more than 35% of all African-American individuals living with HIV in the state by hosting and offering a wide variety of programs and services available in-house and through collaborative initiatives with our community partners. It has been our goal to insure that our clients have a safe and caring environment thus allowing them to receive all the necessary tools for healthy living. We strive to educate and uplift our community in the effort to reduce the transmission of HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases and increase the amount of healthy clients living with HIV. Brothers United is located near downtown Indianapolis, Indiana. Brothers United is proud of its 15 years of dedicated service to city of Indianapolis and the State of Indiana as we look forward to many more years of community service, advocacy, and activism.
